“Any Ball, Any Wall” Handball documentary in preproduction/production

Chad will be competing in the 2009 World’s Handball Tournament that is in Portland, OR this year.  Full Tilt Boogie will be following along with the camera as Chad competes in the first ever World’s Handball Tournament to include 1-wall handball.  He will be playing 1-wall, big ball doubles with Brian Sprinkle from Boise, 4-wall B doubles with FTB’s own sculptor, Joe Rinn, and 4-wall B singles.

1) "BELLY" DVD release party will be July 25th at the Visual Arts Collective (VAC) 3638 Osage Street in Garden City, Idaho.  Doors open at 7:30pm, a screening of the feature film will start at 8:00pm, and a show featuring local and regional talent including Samira Il Naia, Cairo Fusion, Mazana, Cecilia, Itheyla, Eclectica, and Azula of Shimmy Shakti, will begin at 10:00pm. Cost is $10.00.

Joe Rinn’s 1^st art gallery showing!

Joe Rinn, the youngest member of the Full Tilt Boogie Family, has his 1st gallery show of his artwork at Woodriver Cellars in Eagle, Idaho.  The show opens at 5pm this Friday May 1^st in the tasting room.  His artwork will be on display for the entire month of May.

3) To start off the BELLY tour, BELLY will have a screening after the evening performance of "A Magic Night in Magic Valley Featuring Ava Fleming" on April 18th in Twin Falls Idaho. Saturday April 18th 2009 at the Turf Club 734 Falls Ave. Twin Falls Idaho 

The BELLY screening will go from 9:30pm to 11PM at the Turf Club. 

A $6.00 suggested donation is requested.

Also StarBelly Creations will be vending before and after the daytime Ava Fleming workshop, and also before and after the BELLY Screening. All monies raised from the sale of StarBelly line go to fund the BELLY tour.

In addition Cecilia will be performing at the evening showcase.

1) Cecilia teaches a traditional belly dance drill class on Monday nights at "Facets of Healing" on 717 S Vista Ave in Boise  from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.  This class is open to dancers who have had some experience with bellydance and want a challenging fast paced practice.  The cost is $40.00 a month or $10.00 for drop ins.  Please show up on time because class with start on time PLease enter through the back door. Cecilia will also start teaching a beginning/review bellydance class on Wednesday nights if there is enough interest.  2) Chad & I have had a huge setback in the last couple of months.  Dennis Carr, our audio master (savior) on both “BELLY”, and “Work In Sanity” died tragically and unexpectedly in December.  He was an amazing artist, musician, family member, and friend, and is greatly missed.

 3) We are just now starting to put some of the pieces back together, and starting to plan on Touring BELLY.  We have 2 dates set, April 18th in Twin Falls, ID, and September 5th  in Sacramento, CA.  Mahisha, one of the main subjects in BELLY, is also working on some venues in New Mexico.  And we are working on having a DVD release party here in Boise in May or June of this year.  We should have additional information about the tour soon.  Please contact us at starbelly@ftbproductions.com if you have any interest or ideas on how to bring BELLY to you area.

 4) Also Joe Rinn, our youngest son, now has pictures from his portfolio HERE

 He has been accepted, so far, into OTIS, and Pacific Northwest College of Art (where he has been awarded a partial scholarship) and is looking into any and all assistance to go to one of these art schools next fall.  If you have any suggestions please let us know.

1) We want to let you know about the Idaho Actors Collective Theatre. Their inaugural performance is “The Last Supper”, December 4th at 8pm. The show runs Dec. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13. Chad is excited to be acting as a lead in his first professional theater production.

Their theatre seats 35 and is located at 2722 W. Sunset Ave in the North End on the corner of 28^th and Sunset. Tickets are $10 for the performances, and may be purchased at the door with check or cash (reservations are encouraged). Patrons may bring their own beverages and snacks will be provided. For those hit hard by financial worries there will be a “pay what you can” night Wednesday December 3rd.

2) “BELLY” premiere at the 2008 Idaho International Film Festival was Awesome!!! Thank you to everyone that showed up.  “Work In Sanity” was an unexpected hit, especially with the Saturday at 4pm spot.  Mike Skurko, and independent film critic, wrote a GREAT review about “Work In Sanity” on his blog.  You have to read it! http://filmpig.blogspot.com/2008/09/work-in-sanity-idaho-international-film.html

3) The StarBelly fashion show was a great success.  Thanks to all of you that came by, bought StarBelly costumes and donated to “BELLY”.  We had a great time! Beautiful Models and Dancers, in Beautiful costumes, and the beautiful Shangri La tea House. Full Tilt Boogie will be posting a video, highlighting the event, on our website after the holidays.

5) Joe Rinn, the youngest of the Full Tilt Boogie team, has started work on a claymation film.  Joe has been working in Sculpture for two years, and has won numerous awards.  He is hoping to include the claymation as part of his portfolio for applying to art schools.  Here are some pictures of last year’s works  HERE

5) Chad is working on putting “Work In Sanity” together this summer.  “Work In Sanity” is a feature film that Full Tilt Boogie has been working on for 6 years.  It is a combination of a number of shorts, which have screened every year at the Idaho International Film Festival for the last four years. “Breaking Cycles”, “Triple U”, “Captain Cannibal: Smoking Justice”, & “Passout” will be combined with new shorts to create a bewildering and entertaining movie about the imagination of a telemarketer. (Or at least that is what we hope).

BELLY a feature length documentary by Full Tilt Boogie, and Cecilia Rinn’s feature directorial debut is almost complete. Local Erik Sandmeyer is working on composing an original score for the film, and Dennis Carr of New Mexico is mastering the audio while Chad & Cecilia are working on the press kit and a film festival/promotion strategy.  If you have any ideas or suggestions please share.

"Pass Out" a short film by Full Tilt Boogie, the 5th in the "Work In Sanity" series will be screened at the 2007 Idaho International Film Festival as part of the Local Heroes: Made In Idaho Short Films.  "Pass Out" was adapted from Chad Rinn's short story by the same name that was published in issue

# 6 of Equilibrium in 2006.

"Half Ass Jig" the Series is playing again on TVCTV, Channel 11 on Friday nights at 11pm starting April 6th 2007.  The show will run for 6 weeks.   Check it out!

Starbelly designs is about to add some new items, including dresses to the already existing line.  Starbelly designs will also be available at some new locations in the coming months. 

We will be filming the last 2 episodes of Work In Sanity in May.  We will be begin preproduction this coming weekend and we be looking for some additional cast members.

BELLY editing is going great.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful interviews to work with.  Thanks to Delilah, Mahisha, Unmata, Shimmy Shakti, Samira, Midnight Mirage, Pepper Von, Pangia, Zaina, Ithyela, and all the great people that let us film them!  We are on the lookout for more music for the soundtrack, so please contact us if you have any ideas.
